Assisted the forest staff of Pench Tiger Reserve when they were assaulted by Western Coalfields Limited staff, who were found violating the rules of the park.

September 2001
On September 21, the Satpuda Foundation assisted the forest department in the arrest of a wildlife trader, Satnam Singh, resulting in the seizure of one leopard skin, two revolvers, one rifle and other weapons from his farmhouse near Mansar, Pench Tiger Reserve.  

An anti-polythene drive was started every weekend in the Pench Tiger Reserve.   

A live palm civet cat was seized from poachers at Narkhed railway station and handed over to the forest department to be released in it's wild habitat. The cat was to have been exported to Afghanistan by traders for the perfume industry.
