across the world?
This event has been memorable for me!
I really appreciate the concern shown by Maya’s parents-Gauri
and Bruce Sreenivasan. Satpuda Foundation would request
its young readers of Maya’s age to follow, implement and
expand the “action programme” given by Maya’s team. I
would like to see such more “Teams for Tigers” acting

Nature Education
The Satpuda Foundation is involved in conducting the
Kids for Tigers programme for children in 30 schools in
Nagpur. Teachers' training programmes will also be
organised to sensitize primary and high school teachers
to the importance of nature conservation in consultation
with the Education Department.
Similar programmes are planned in other cities
like Akola, Gondia, Wardha, Indore and Jabalpur. You can
participate or volunteer to help conduct/organise these
programmes.
Nature Conservation
Satpuda
Foundation is involved with a community conservation
programme in and around Pench Tiger Reserve Maharashtra
and Pench Tiger Reserve Madhya Pradesh. We are also
involved in some ongoing conservation surveys, in which
you might be able to participate.
Wildlife
Protection
The Satpuda
Foundation is consistently involved in gathering
intelligence about poaching and the wildlife trade as
well as arranging raids to curb the wildlife trade in
the Vidarbha region. You
can participate by sharing secret information and
helping forest and wildlife authorities arrange these
raids.
Donations (Eligible
for exemption under Section 80 G of the Income Tax Act,
1961)
The donations less than Rs.10,000 from a donor would go
to the Administration Expenses pool spent on
Administrative expenses of the SF.
The donations of Rs.10,000 or more would go to following
non-funded projects:-
Navegaon-Nagzira corridor project. (Rs. 5 Lakhs)
Kanha Community based Conservation Initiative (Rs. 2.5-3
Lakhs)
Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve community based
conservation Initiatives (Rs. 4 Lakhs)
Nature Education Programme at Nagpur (Rs. 2 Lakhs)
Conservation education for tribal kids in 5 Tiger
Reserves (Rs. 1 Lakh)
Conservation Action surveys, campaigns (Rs. 2 Lakhs)
Media- conservation campaigns (Rs.60,000)
"Teams for Tigers" programmes (Rs. 3 Lakhs)
The donors would get the receipt of the donation within
8 working days from the date of receiving and they would
be able to see the outcome of the project in a annual
report.

activities where you can help
Study on impact of Eco(?) Tourism projects in and around PA’s in
the Satpuras.
Helping
in mapping tiger corridors and forests between Pench and
the Bori-Satpura Tiger Reserve.
Assisting in conservation campaigns in the wildlife corridor
connecting Pench Tiger Reserve to Bori-Satpura Tiger
Reserve.
Helping with nature education programmes in and around Tiger Reserves in
the Satpuras.

Satpuda Foundation

Registration Act, 1860 (Section 21). For
Satpuda Foundation's plans to become a reality,
we require your support and also need funds.
Donations to Satpuda
Foundation are eligible for exemption under
Sec 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961 as per
letter F. No. CIT-III/Tech/80G/(13/123)/2007-08
dated 17-08-2007 issued by the Office of the
Commissioner of Income Tax - III, Nagpur. This
approval is effective from 17-08-2007 to
31-03-2012.
